Interesting how the SEC is getting even stronger as the "modern day" training center for Caribbean T&F athletes. Recall so much the days when TCU, Abilene Christian and others in that region had those connections!

It would appear that not all of the "gold nuggets" are remaining home to develop these days.  Of course, LSU continues to capitalize on these riches!

Yes, WE, as a fella sitting right here in Abilene, Tx...it seems the pipeline isn't what it used to be. ACU's track & field program a shadow of its former self.

But, they're trying. They're building a new football stadium due to moving up to D-1 and hopefully that will lead to more success across the board in recruitment.

That's good to hear.   I was fortunate to meet a few elite track performers that were very prominent on the ACU team of the mid 80's.   These gentlemen were for the most part of Caribbean descent.   No doubt, as you said, there was a very active talent pipeline in place!

The Lady Tigers would've been tough to beat anyway. Since their lost to Oregon @ Mt Sac, they've been truly dominant.

However, other than pure catastrophe, I would be surprised if Deejah Stevens doesn't dominant the sprints (100/200, long relay). Coaches Taylor and Johnson will be looking for others to step up along with her to win the thing for the Lady Ducks!

USC is out as well along with Oregon.

Unlike their 4x4, I didn't expect the Lady Trojans to score in the 4x1. LSU Lady Tigers is a different story in both relays.

And the latter have traveled well in the past.  However the Ducks are home...

WE Imagine all three HBCU schools make the 4x1 final they must drop below 39.00 and A&T has already conquered a sub 39 and Alabama St came close.

As quiet as its' been lately, the HBCU community should be feeling pretty good at this time.   Particularly those schools east of the MS!

How many had lifetime or near top performances at regionals?   We will see how well those performers travel and the end result of their stage two or three (as I define it) big meet preparation.

The times that I've been on the Web, I haven't seen signs of Rolie's scribes on the sites I generally visit.   I would assume, unlike myself this spring, he's probably quite busy (i.e., work, play et cetera).

At this time, "it's all in the basket" in terms of preparation for those teams.   Travel, which includes honest rest, as well as spot tune-ups and mental balance, might be in order for the next few days...I would think.

Best of luck with your hopes and predictions!
